Infrastructure

The Southwest Region is serviced by PTH 83, which is part of the longest continuously numbered north-south highway in North America with a combined distance is 3,450 kilometres (2,140 mi).  

PTH #3 offers year round RTAC 62,500 kg weights coming from the east up to Melita before it drops to A1 weights.  The village of Waskada is serviced by RTAC weights on PTH 452, coming off of PTH 3.  Updated road weights and maps can be found on the Manitoba Infrastructure website at https://www.gov.mb.ca/mit/mcd/resources/twlm.html

Rail Service 

The Southwest Region is serviced by the Canadian Pacific main line freight handling system. The complete freight handling facilities include piggyback, bulk and refrigerated services.
