Homeowners Affordability Tax Credit
The Government of Manitoba introduced the Homeowners Affordability Tax Credit (HATC) of up to $1,500 on the education portion of principal residences property tax in 2025.
If you received the Education Property Tax Credit (EPTCA) in 2024 and there has been no change in ownership of your property, you will automatically receive the HATC on your tax bill and no action is required.
If you are a new eligible property owner in 2025 you may complete a HATC declaration form and drop off or email the form to the Town of Melita Office. Declarations will be accepted until November 2025. Click the link below to access the form.
