The Melita & Area Trail Committee has been actively working with the local Economic Development Corporation and government agencies to develop and maintain walking and cross country ski trails within the Melita area. One trail system is developed with groomed walking/ski trails, wildlife signage, a bridge and a parking lot. This trail system is called the Gerald W. Malaher Wildlife Management Area. There are 5 kms of groomed walking and cross-country ski trails within this location. The trails are located one mile west of Melita off of highway 445.
